Of course we love Ethiopia. Actually, we have many reasons to love it and be grateful to this great country: its nature, its people, its cultural heritage, and of course, the original coffee plant that got discovered and reproduced, emigrated, adapted, and gave the coffee seeds to the world. From the beginning, we have always been avid drinkers of Ethiopian coffee, but our first personal contact with this country was through an interesting woman that the gods of coffee put on our way: our friend Hiwot.

Hiwot is an Ethiopian woman from Hawassa (Sidamo region) with long life experience in Norway. She has lived here many years, is mother of two children, and recently has started her own coffee project.

Hiwot is a power woman: independent and entrepreneurial, now she imports the very best coffees she can find in her own country. Hiwot is a natural born coffee hunter, and she imports Ethiopian coffee sustainably to Norway knowing the meaning her coffee has for her people.
